3. Por lo tanto, un plátano es dulce.

INFERENCE

Inferencia es el acto o proceso de derivar conclusiones lógicas a partir de premisas conocidas o asumidos para ser verdad .  La conclusión que se extrae se llama también un idiomática. Las leyes de la inferencia válida se estudian en el campo de la lógica .

Alternativamente, la inferencia puede definirse como el medio no lógicos, pero racionales, mediante la observación de los patrones de los hechos, para ver indirectamente nuevos significados y contextos para la comprensión. De uso particular a esta aplicación de la inferencia son anomalías y símbolos. Inferencia, en este sentido, no sacar conclusiones, pero abre nuevas vías de investigación. 

En esta definición de la inferencia, hay dos tipos de inferencia: inferencia inductiva e inferencia deductiva. A diferencia de la definición de la inferencia en el párrafo anterior, significado del significado de las palabras no están probados, pero las relaciones significativas se articulan.

For example, if workers in a steel plant complain that their eyes are burning, an industrial hygienist tries to find the source of the problem by sampling the air. The hygienist may discover that the air contains a toxic gas and then, he may determine the concentration and composition of that gas.

Quality audits by third parties often begin with the quality manual. Most quality manuals follow a similar format, and they must be updated constantly. Good quality manuals, like the effective system they document, must be customized to the particular needs of the company.

Electrical energy is supplied by a 14-volt, direct-current system powered by an engine-driven alternator. A 12-volt battery is located on the left-hand forward portion of the firewall. Power is supplied to all electrical circuits through a split bus bar, one side containing electronic systems and the other side having general electrical systems. Both sides of the bus are on at all times except when either an external power source is connected or the ignition/starter switch is turned on; the a power contactor is automatically activated to open the circuit to the electronic bus. Isolating the electronic circuits in this manner prevents harmful transient voltages from damaging the transistors in the electronic equipment.

QUE ES SKIMMING?

Es Skimmimg: es una técnica de lectura rápida. Se utiliza con el propósito de obtener una idea global del contenido de un texto. Este tipo de lectura es rápida y activa, la mayor atención de la lectura debe estar focalizada hacia la idea general del texto. Para su uso se aplican ciertas estrategias tales como:

(a) Ubicar palabras claves relacionadas al tema del texto a leer.

(b) Ubicar palabras que se repiten.

(c) Ubicar palabras que se parecen al español.

(d) Observar ayudas tipográficas (letras en negritas, resaltadas, títulos, sub-títulos, gráficos, etc.), ya que estos rompen el texto e identifican el contenido de cada parte. 

Muy a menudo aparecen en negritas (boldeados) las definiciones y los términos clave. 

Las gráficas y los mapas tienen títulos y/o encabezados que te dicen de que tratan. Todas estas pistas te ayudarán a encontrar la información que estas buscando.

EJEMPLO

Párrafo:

The frog sat on the side of the pond. He was very still. His green color made him hard to see. A bug flew near him. His tongue zipped out, and he globbed it up. Then the frog was still again. He waited for the next bug.

La idea principal de este párrafo es:
a) Frogs are green.
b) Frogs eat bugs.
c) Frogs do not move.
d) Frogs live in ponds.
La respuesta correcta es el inciso “b”, ya que las palabras clave son: still, bug flew, his tongue zipped and globbed the bug, waited for the next bug. La última, generaliza la idea de que la rana se alimenta de palomillas.

SCANNING? o LECTURA RAPIDA

La lectura de búsqueda (Scanning), es una lectura muy rápida, la cuál parte de un cuestionamiento o pregunta previa que ya tenemos en mente. En ella no es necesario leer cada palabra del texto, solo aquellas que nos dan respuesta a la pregunta o cuestionamiento inicial. Practicar esta técnica de lectura, te ayudará a aprender a omitir todas aquellas palabras o frases sin importancia y enfocar tu atención en aquellas que te ayudan a descifrar la respuesta a la pregunta inicial, y así poder leer en una forma mucho más rápida.
